Danielle Smith wants to impose a $1,900 health care tax on small businesses for every temporary worker.
It's an out of touch policy amid an affordability crisis and a trade war, plus employees and businesses already pay taxes.
Albertans can’t afford Danielle Smith and the UCP.
The Alberta NDP has a plan visit:

WATCH: The president of UCP MLA Scott Cyr's constituency board says members confronted Cyr over Pathways and AI data centres and warned him he could be replaced.
At a Calgary separatist event this week, Mitch Sylvestre said board members brought reports on both issues to their last meeting. One challenged Cyr over his Pathways vote; another asked when he would "start representing the people that elected" him.
The board wants answers to nine Pathways questions at its next meeting. Sylvestre's warning: "If he doesn't do it, he'll get replaced. Plain and simple." #abpoli
NEW: In @macleans, I write about how Danielle Smith is fusing corporate and state power while reducing democracy to performative spectacle. I call it the New Authoritarianism.

I grew up in Calgary. This is arguably the most conservative constituency in Canada's most conservative city.
This is not just a by-election result. It is an earthquake.
Danielle Smith has been a disaster in so many ways. This is proof.

Thanks UCP. Just what parents need at the start of school. MORE paper work. More red tape. You now have to opt IN for all sex ed courses, and sign off on each and every single day of learning content. 🙄🙄
Let me repeat. Danielle Smith has done nothing to campaign for Remain all summer, and when she does do anything at all, it is to undermine Team Canada and/or assure her donors she will call a full separation referendum as soon as possible, indigenous objections be damned.
Time to buy some Canadian-imported products here at my local store in Nuuk, Greenland 🇬🇱 and support our neighbours in Canada. 🇨🇦🤝🇬🇱
As you can see, the store is even promoting its Canadian products.
Just a small gesture of support for our Canadian friends and neighbours. 🇨🇦
The only acceptable response from a Canadian premier, as the country is pitched into a trade war it did not start or seek, is: “I stand with Canada”. Unless, of course, like Premier Smith, you don’t.
