Tokens today don’t distinguish payments from simple transfers.
We’re proposing a standard to make payments a first-class primitive on Ethereum, so apps and indexers can universally surface onchain commerce across all tokens.

If people knew what we've been building at Slice, they could never be bearish on ETH. And we’re not alone, many great teams are changing the world with Ethereum.
Trust the process. Ignore the noise. Believe in something.

Exactly. Commerce, Ethereum and AI are about to converge.
We’re about to show what that looks like.
Agree with @RyanSAdams that a deep bench of leaders and developers are ready to ensure $ETH remains the future settlement layer of finance and AI
- to me, much of bearish sentiment reflects the disdain and despair seen at the nadir of crypto winter (finger pointing at the lows)
Blockchain is arguably the only way agentic AI interacts in commerce. And blockchain vastly improves the profit profile of the financial system

If you were laid off from Coinbase today and are obsessed with the future of commerce, reach out.
We're entering the next phase at Slice and setting out to change the world. There is no better time to join.
Technical people are very welcome. And if it’s not a fit, I’ll do my best to help.
Payments are transfers with context.
Today that context is fragmented across solutions. The result is siloed, centralized systems instead of trustless, interoperable data tied to buyers and merchants.
ERC-8204 distills our learnings at Slice into a flexible standard:
▷ works across all token standards
▷ supports rich, composable metadata
▷ plugs into any settlement logic
▷ incrementally adoptable by apps and indexers
If you care about onchain commerce, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Hey all, looks like @coinbase@CoinbaseBiz is killing their coinbase commerce platform and the business account are only available in the US and Singapore.
So CT what are the option to replace them ?
@MoonPayCommerce ? Who else ?
Just opened a PR to add first-class ERC-8128 support to Better Auth.
Still early and lots to improve, but after using it for a few days I'm already excited by how easy it makes adopting secure signature-based auth in apps and backends.
Working on this also made me appreciate just how amazing Better Auth is. https://t.co/e8s2Gxj8G2
Exactly. Agents need different permissions, **identities** and lifecycles.
ERC-8128 solves this at the protocol layer:
- each agent gets its own identity (an Ethereum account)
- each request is cryptographically signed by that agent
- the API derives identity from the request itself, then checks what that agent is allowed to do for a given user
At its core, it's a low-level agent auth primitive for the web, built on HTTP message signatures.
If auth is MCP’s last real moat, its days are numbered.
ERC-8128 brings signed requests to the web — making the internet more secure, APIs agent-native, and MCP increasingly obsolete.
you realize how transformative ethereum can be once you see it for what it really is: a global shared memory and programming layer.
that’s exactly the mental model we used at @slice__so to rethink commerce from first principles.
