@Dheissj@Gaismair Yeah bro the GI fucking some starving Japanese girl while his higher-ups shake hands and rehabilitate imperial war criminals was some real justice. Sure, Shirō Ishii was a bad guy but at least all those teenagers were properly punished with prostitution
@severalnitrogen@chickenperson10@Gaismair Is the agent stuff even a little real or is this another "Koreans are Japanese Imperial agents so we gotta deport them all" type thing?
Not that either way it'd be justified but I guess I'm curious
@HaterOfFeds@EcoTechBro@elisha1542 What? I'm saying that the tactics historically employed by national liberation movements, which may include terrorism (successful at times, maybe, but very often not) can't easily be assumed to work for a revolution meant to transform our mode of production.
@Sintashtalism@severalnitrogen@hb1290hb@nikicaga No, it's that it makes no sense for white nationalists to cry about inflammatory Twitter accounts when you spend your days doing the same. Twitter is the only site I've had to see Nazis post videos of a Black fetus being eaten by a dog. Suck it up.
@tngkh2ujt5rd@vyllckart@goingpostall Time and time again Soviet agreement with the West led to things like the Nakba in the 40s. As for the Nazis, it's silly to blame Khrushchev for that when the majority of exiles and veterans who would continue to fight communism abroad were already in the West by Stalin's death
@tngkh2ujt5rd@vyllckart@goingpostall To say Khruschev came out of nowhere to swerve the USSR off course is ahistorical. The Soviets were already appeasing the West since WWII with the shift away from proletarian internationalism, such as the dissolution of the Comintern in 1943. Stalin was cautious with the West.
@AFewSmallBeers_@DeejRemolacio@Taoyuanbucuo Why do you say Lenin's opinion is irrelevant because he's so old while appealing to old more religious communists? How have conditions changed so much since then, exactly?
@SouthAsianMarx@VenturCommunist Is this not ethnonationalism, which typically trespasses borders, of a kind well-known around the world? Would you call the common shared nationalism the Nazis fostered from Volksdeutsche in the Sudentenland, Hungary, the Volga, the Baltics and even the Americas, cosmopolitanism?
@CommunistSlav@marx2thamax Why does the Okhrana matter when nobody was talking about secret police officers? But anyway, Ivan Zybin is an example of a former Okhrana officer who became a Chekist
@droldren@marx2thamax The actual main difference between the Russian army in WW1 and today's U.S forces is that the former were 90% conscripts. Even so the Bolsheviks did beef the RKKA with career Tsarist officers who proved extremely valuable during after the civil war, even in WW2
@Tross____@gabi__uv Do you think all of China popped out of nowhere as a consolidated nation? Empires expanded throughout the centuries in that region, same as the Arabs expanded out of Arabia. Why is it colonialism when Arabs leave Arabia but not when Chinese empires expand south and west?
@ElAtrocitad@Stiuard1910@IrgaCat96141@TatsuyaIshida9 He's referring to the Allied Powers you dork. And Germany did have a multitude of allies. Hungary, Italy and Romania alone contributed millions of men to the Axis.
