During visit to the Southern Atolls, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Maldives, M. Rizvi Hassen, visited the marine protected areas (MPAs), wetlands and ecopark reserves in Addu Hithadhoo, Meedhoo and Fuvahmulah.

The MPAs and wetlands provide significant environmental, economic and social value, contributing to biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods and the overall well-being of local communities.

The discussions further highlighted the potential for enhanced collaboration in the health sector, contributing to the continued strengthening of the longstanding bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and the Maldives

During his visit to the Southern Atolls, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Maldives, H.E. M. Rizvi Hassen, visited Addu Equatorial Hospital and Fuvahmulah City Hospital, where he held discussions with hospital officials on matters of mutual interest.
