@CrimsonP_ The novel is great, I think the ratings for the show is high because for people who love the novel and knows the story, it's great. But if you jump right into the show, it might be a bit confusing in the beginning, but it does pick up pretty quickly.

@Dexerto 30 hours sounds about right. He didn't do the DLC, which in my opinion is the best part of the game, so he missed out on some great content. Chalice Dungeons can be ignored though, they don't add much to the game itself.
