@RichyC640 @katieyak @BBCSport@ChemmySki@brad This was the point we were trying to make. We must take personal responsibility for our impact, but blaming each other and calling out ‘hypocrites’ is counter productive. A positive approach is to support brands and political parties committed to environmental protection.
@SteveDeadman It’s mostly down to power, the core strength needed to rip a 1440 or above is massive, and just having the power isn’t enough you need to be able to control it. Billy Morgan did the Quad at 26, but by 27 he had lost that power.
It’s a wrap!
Thanks to you lot for the awesome comments and love, thanks to @BBCSport, thanks to @snowedleigh for constantly making me laugh and of course, the biggest thanks to all the #Snowboarders and #Skiers for throwing down and making the #Olympics one for the books!
@KnitRebecca Ha ha you have to find the subtle Brummie tones to differentiate. That was indeed @Tim_Warwood but believe me, the respect for #gillwarwood is real.
@Emm_vee No stupid questions here, it’s a technical test, before they gain too much speed. It takes board/ski co trip and perfect timing to generate speed rather than kill it on those features. They’re designed to split the pack slightly.
@agrshaw It refers to the direction of rotation in the jumps. The women can use any of the 4: frontside, backside, switch frontside and switch backside. The men choose just a clockwise or anti clockwise spin. So backside or switch frontside and frontside or switch backside.
