Hydrostatic testing is one of the ways SoCalGas evaluates pipeline strength. During this process, a pipeline is temporarily taken out of service and filled with water to test its performance at pressures well above normal operating levels.
These conditions can help reveal any potential anomalies and is one of many tools used as part of the rigorous testing and maintenance practices that help keep pipelines operating safely and reliably. https://t.co/F5un1uEiWI
