Interlune and Vermeer corp unveiled a lunar excavator prototype for mining helium-3 on the moon. The machine is capable of processing 110 tons of lunar regolith per hour, digging up to 10 feet deep, and uses a gaseous chemical method to extract helium-3 for clean energy (fusion), quantum computing, and medical imaging. Powered by photoelectric cells, it operates efficiently in lunar conditions, redepositing processed soil. Interlune plans missions in 2025, 2027, and 2029 to map, test, and extract helium-3 for commercial use, targeting U.S. Department of Energy and quantum computing contracts. @InterluneSpace@vermeercorp
