@FilmstudyRavens Without having to zero adjustments at each individual step, you can make more complex but accurate adjustments at each step - like my suggestion for an adjustment specifically for playoff-likely conference matchups like BUF.

@FilmstudyRavens For example, if you want to zero final scores in a division (or a hypothetical four team league) with scores of [-4,3,6,7], you would subtract the average from each score to get [-7,0,3,4], which is now zeroed.

@FilmstudyRavens I didn't calculate how this system would change your grades because I'm not sure how you would want to change your scoring to accommodate it, but I'm still curious what you think.

@FilmstudyRavens You would also have to adjust your scoring to reflect individual matchups rather than based on relative occurrence of a schedule event based on league average. This would also screw up your attempt to zero the total adjustment averages, but your subjective adjustments already do.
