Looks like an 8 kW system, and it should produce ~11,000 kWh a year. If your prepaid cost is $14K, your effective electricity cost over 25 year life of the system is ~5 cents per kWh. You’re saving over $750 a year. Pre-negotiate a rate to uninstall/reinstall the panels (should be around $5K) and pull the trigger. Even if you have to replace the roof your savings will cover it.
