ERCOT West solar (white line in plot) almost fully curtailed on an 81gw peak demand day. Not the first or last time. I am interested to see how the curtailment dynamics shift as more solar takes PTC and old wind PTCs expire. #ERCOT
@Aaron_PE_ I’m not the one with the concerns. It’s the Department of Defense who requires the security.
I’m asking why - if as you say, they are stationary non accessible concrete blocks - is there a security requirement?
@CXCarroll These aren’t concerns - these are reality. Simple facts.
There are individuals who will forever be employed by the US Defense Department to defend these locations.
Is this not true?
Rooftop solar carried the day in this week's heatwave. https://t.co/hwp5MZ1JyZ @shankman explains while introducing a term that was new to me--the "duck curve"--one I look forward to hearing a lot more about in coming years.
@Aaron_PE_ Stationary concrete dude - why do you keep coming up with things completely unrelated? People want to get into vaults and control rooms - and they can.
If the premise is that these vaults aren’t accessible- then why the guards?
