Height and Athletics Ability matter. I get what you are saying but it’s all part of the evaluation of future potential. Of course a 6’5” post can be much better than a 7’0 post but if both are at the same skill levels height matters more. It has to be part of the equation. Just like jumping, quickness, speed, endurance, weight, body type etc.. and even more important if these kids are getting paid now. It might be only 5% of an equation but that 5% matters when being 1% off gets you fired.

They go to work every day for the school and they get paid only because they are working at the school and performing for the schools representing them all day long. I’m not sure if I can think of another job where you get paid 6-7 figures for coming to the business and working but are not employees of that business? They are not in Coca Cola meetings all day, they don’t report to these outside businesses they report to the schools. If they are late for work they report to a school employee not a third party. It’s insane tbh
