I’m Dr Helen Fry. I’ve written and edited more than twenty-five books on British intelligence, spies, espionage and have a particular interest in the 10,000 German and Austrian-Jewish refugees who fought for Britain during the Second World War.

I’m widely recognised as the leading authority on the ‘Secret Listeners’ and the bugging of Hitler’s generals at Trent Park and other UK clandestine sites. I am also the official biographer of the elusive MI6 spymaster Colonel Thomas Joseph Kendrick.

I regularly advise television and drama productions, appear in media interviews worldwide, and have had the incredible honour to cover major D-Day commemorations for the BBC.

I’m currently working on my next book with my publisher @YaleBooks, but sorry, absolutely no hints yet!
