More than just a bad apple: why we must look closer at the Nathan Gill scandal
New evidence connects the Ukrainian politician who paid bribes to Gill - Reform UK’s former leader in Wales - to a campaign to destabilise the US election

it’s a 2 minute radio program, never repeated, broadcast 18 times a week.
Bigger audience than Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon … combined.
Millions listen, with no need for the information it gives. Just to listen.

Reform keeps arguing that immigration is an issue when it isn’t.
There is a by-election right now in Caerphilly and Nigel Farage’s party keeps saying that immigration is an issue there.
BUT over 97% percent of people in the area were born in the UK.
There are perfectly legitimate reasons to be unhappy over the state of public services in the area, but it’s not down to immigration.
We need to start debating based on facts not scaremongering.

Three years ago, on 8 September, I handed in book 3 of my series starring Queen Elizabeth II as a secret sleuth. This weekend, I'm finishing book 6, set in 1966. If you're a fan of the series, book 5 will be out in November: The Queen Who Came In From the Cold.

🚨Rolling Stone is now confirming what we all knew happened with Jimmy Kimmel’s show. According to their reporting, executives at ABC and Disney didn’t think Kimmel said anything outrageous but they feared retaliation from Trump. This is a blatant attack on free speech.
I love that Rolling Stone has a feature on our UK Channel 4 news. It’s true. Tomorrow night, the 17th of September, at 10pm, Channel 4 News will report a 100 of Donald Trump’s lies on national television.

Of all the ‘tax dodgers’ to pursue as a society, as a people, as a country we pursue…. Angela Rayner…. I can hear the guffaws right along the West Coast of the US…. in the St James Clubs… across private equity…. on the world’s fleet of private jets…. it is quite a feat this… quite the achievement… Cameron cashes in, Johnston cashes in, Osborne, Blair… on and on and on… but we gun for a woman with one home… who spins more plates than any of them…
Right wing media has had it in for @AngelaRayner from the start - they couldn’t bear a working class woman being so powerful & dynamic. She made a mistake & has paid heavily for it. Hope she’ll return at some point in the future - our politics needs more voices like hers
I find the way we destroy people with the courage to enter politics in this country utterly depressing. It is why I got out of newspapers. It isn’t just Angela Rayner. Read Sarah Vine’s book about the effect MPs expense farrago had on Michael Gove… we are red in tooth and claw as a culture, which keeps the best of us out of national public life.
