More community TCG education is critical for growing and retaining the @ParallelTCG playerbase!

I'm so happy and hyped up to see @LovelyTCG taking the same educational initiative in Brazil that was started way back in 2023 in the Philippines. @OneTurnTILT successfully launched and hosted 4 seasons of it's comprehensive zero-to-hero Parallel Academy course program to introduce and onboard hundreds of Filipino gamers to Parallel! ❤️ Now, Lovely and his fellow players in SURA are also actively teaching Parallel in Brazil! You gotta love it!

Not only are TILT and SURA teaching and onboarding new players, both communities are also actively running grassroots organized Parallel play events! The TILT LIGA PILIPINAS and the SURA Grassroots League!

We need more communities like TILT and SURA across the globe!! The more, the merrier!

This iteration of Parallel's visuals is the best one ever!!

Loving:
- the rotating fan shadow
- the exhaust smoke from the vents
- the scroll arrow pulses
- the lit up dust in the air when the spotlight passes
- the timer looking like an EMP grenade being put together
- the overall Augencore Hangar/Workshop vibe

On the fence about:
- the cardframes
- the energy meter
- tiny companions
- card fan for desktop (mobile, yes. Desktop with this kind of board, still undecided)
- layout and visual design choices regarding the paragons

Don't like:
- bright pink singularity. Would prefer something subtler. In my head, a dark sphere with edges broken by slowly shifting shroud purple smoke.. we can see outer space on the other side, while particles from the game board like dust and stuff constantly slowly swirl into it due to the vacuum. Banished cards get new animation of randomply getting fragmented, torn, then pulled into the Singularity.
- Relic cards looking out of place on the board. Crop and halve their height so they can fit in that horizontal space. Create a visual bay for them of sorts.
- tiny health bar above and under the big Health numbers feels unnecessary. Can even design a player nameplate (customizable via progression rewards) to fit where those health bars are.
- Since it's Augencore, overall vibe could be made grittier, greasy, and industrial. Let the other faction boards be "sleek", "clean", etc.

OVERALL: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✴️
4 of 5 stars for me! Looking forward to how the other Parallel-specific boards will look! This is a really good iteration. ❤️

Needed to cut the stream short as soon as Game 3 ended (wife was calling! 😅) but what a closer for @OneTurnTILT ‘s 1st @ParallelTCG LIGA Pilipinas PROTEGES Coop Tourney!!

After two nervewracking games going 1-1 against protege Notcalmye and her mentor sunstarb, protege nunii and mentor Bin clinched the third game decisively with the Earthen to win PROTEGES I!

For the unfamiliar, PROTEGES is a new Parallel LIGA Pilipinas weekly Rookie Deck only event format that I came up with to get both Parallel beginner and veteran player groups working together and enjoying the game. Mentors may live coach their proteges until the semifinals. From there on, the proteges are on their own. When proteges win, so do their mentors. Prize pools are separate.

It was awesome to see 13 pairs of competitors prepping and practicing in the TILT Discord! ❤️❤️❤️ So many former players who stopped playing Parallel due to lack of time, or who got burnt out from chasing ranked mmr points, returned to play!

Thank you so much to all the proteges and mentors for making this first iteration a resounding success! If you want more, you can also sign up for tomorrow's Basic Training event series. No mentors anymore in that series though. PROTEGES will be back next Wednesday! Spread the word and let's get the TILTED Academy gang back together! <3
