🚨 REVEALED 🚨
The Green-Lib Dem coalition are cutting the council’s flagship children’s mental health drop-in service in Peckham.
We are standing up for children and families in across our borough by calling on Cllr Rebecca Corn to reverse her decision immediately.
Great news from Labour Government.
Proud that The Nest free mental health drop-in service for children and young people that @SouthwarkLabour opened in 2020 helped show what accessible, community-based mental health support can look like...

Speaking to BBC London, Cllr Akoto outlined the chaotic start to the Green-led coalition.
Two U-turns in two months and the latest letter meaning they are now averaging *one public letter per week*, the coalition needs to get on with delivering for our community
@greenbenali@SouthwarkLabour The audacity indeed! 😂 Labour never made a decision to close The Nest. When its future was at risk, the new administration initially chose not to save it. Following huge public pressure, they’ve now found a way to do so. That’s a political choice, and exactly why we campaigned
@greenbenali@SouthwarkLabour Rubbish. The service was funded in the Feb 2026 budget - officers would have had to advise if it wasn't through the budget process. It was a decision under the Green-LD coalition not to renew the contract, despite the money being there.
Another busy week for Southwark Liberal Democrats.
Standing up for residents, supporting our communities and working hard to deliver the change Southwark voted for.
A lot done. Plenty more to do. 🔶
The Southwark Dementia Advisory Service provides vital support for people living with dementia.
The Green-Lib Dem coalition have now shut that service.
We’re backing the Dementia Action Group’s campaign calling for Cllr Rebecca Corn and the coalition to reverse this cut.
The Green-Lib Dem coalition have wasted no time in cutting The Nest - a free mental health drop-in for children.
We’re calling on Cllr Corn to reverse her decision and continue this vital service for children and young people in our borough.

Councillors are not just for elections. In depth conversations with residents in Donkin house. We urgently need to get the children’s football pitch repaired & reopened
