Word of the day is 'spigot': a short metal rod which connects the base plate to the foot or ankle of a mannequin, providing support and stability.

'Bum Spigot': like a spigot, but up the bum.

Example: Our Curator used a bum spigot to display Buzz Aldrin's underwear.

There are lots of planets visible in the night sky at the moment. This month you can spot Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn as well as Uranus and Neptune if you have good binoculars or a telescope. 🪐🔭

⚠️ The Centre will be CLOSED on Monday for a Team Day. We REOPEN on 14 January.

Our teams can have a lie-in, then we'll review 2024 @spacecentre when we welcomed over 300,000 visitors, followed by a chance to do some training, visit other attractions and do some team-building.
