We said scanning remains free, not that every advanced scanning option is free. Standard scanning and graded-card tracking are still available without Pro; bulk, slab, and other advanced features are optional paid tools.

Running the free scanner has significant ongoing costs, which we’re committed to covering so it remains accessible to everyone. Pro helps support that service and continued development, but it doesn’t put the core scanner behind a paywall.

We’re happy and proud to keep a free scanning service, this is not without a cost, I am unsure what the expectation here is if you care to elaborate?
