🚨 PAREDES HANDED 10-MATCH FIFA BAN AFTER WORLD CUP FINAL BRAWL

Leandro Paredes has been hit with a 10-match international suspension by FIFA following the confrontation between Argentina and Spain after the 2026 World Cup final.

The Argentine midfielder has also been fined $90,000 for his involvement in the post-match incident. 🇦🇷

Nahuel Molina received a seven-match ban, while Argentina assistant coach Roberto Ayala was suspended for three matches. Thiago Almada was given a one-match suspension, while Spain’s Gavi was also banned for one match.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) was additionally fined $321,000 for multiple disciplinary violations during the tournament, including discriminatory conduct and other breaches. Argentina will also face restrictions on attendance for its next two home matches.

The punishments follow the heated scenes that occurred after Spain defeated Argentina in the World Cup final.

Those 36 goals earned him 72 points in the European Golden Shoe ranking, as Bundesliga goals carry a 2.0 coefficient.

This is Kane’s second European Golden Shoe, having also won the award in 2023/24 after another 36-goal Bundesliga campaign.

🚨 PAUL POGBA LEAVES MONACO AS FREE AGENT! 🔴⚪️

Paul Pogba and AS Monaco have mutually agreed to terminate his contract, bringing his one-year spell at the club to an early end.

The 33-year-old midfielder is now a free agent, with clubs from MLS and Saudi Arabia reportedly showing interest in signing him.

⚪️ José Mourinho has revealed why Real Madrid did not push harder to sign Rodri despite their strong interest in the Manchester City midfielder.

Speaking to El Chiringuito, Mourinho acknowledged Rodri’s exceptional quality but explained that the player’s uncertainty about the move ultimately influenced Madrid’s decision.

According to Mourinho, he personally spoke with Rodri several times during the process. However, when a player begins to have doubts about joining Real Madrid, those doubts can also make the club question whether the move is right for them.

Mourinho’s message was clear: Real Madrid want players who are completely convinced about joining the club.

The Portuguese manager believes Madrid operates at a unique level, where a player should not need much convincing once the opportunity arrives.

Rodri has since completed his move from Manchester City to Barcelona, making the situation even more significant given Real Madrid’s previous interest in him.

For Mourinho, though, the issue was never Rodri’s ability. It was whether the midfielder was fully convinced about becoming a Real Madrid player.

João Pedro has officially committed his future to Chelsea, signing a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2032. The agreement has now been signed and all documents have been approved. 🇧🇷💙

The Brazilian forward has also been rewarded with a salary increase, while the new contract includes an option for Chelsea to extend his stay beyond 2032.

Chelsea consider João Pedro an important part of their long-term project and have moved to secure his future amid reported interest from other clubs.

Jamal Musiala has suffered another worrying on-field collapse, just four days after a similar incident during Bayern Munich’s friendly against RB Leipzig.

The 23-year-old Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder was introduced as a substitute against Heidenheim on Tuesday. Only a few minutes after coming on, Musiala suddenly went down off the ball. Players from both teams immediately surrounded him as medical staff attended to him. He was eventually able to get back on his feet and leave the pitch.

The incident raised concern because it closely followed Saturday’s episode against RB Leipzig, when Musiala also collapsed after coming off the bench. Initial reports linked that incident to the extreme heat and possible circulation problems, and he subsequently trained individually.

Following the latest episode, Musiala provided an important update on his condition. He revealed that doctors had diagnosed him with brief, temporary and treatable episodes of absence caused by a neurological dysfunction. Some reports have described these as “absence seizures”, although Musiala’s own statement uses the broader description of temporary absences resulting from a neurological dysfunction.

Most importantly, Musiala reassured fans that he is doing well. He said he is receiving specialist medical care and that doctors have told him there is no additional health risk. After consulting neurological specialists, he wants to continue living normally and pursuing his football career.

The latest incidents are not being described as a new football injury, but as a neurological issue that Musiala says is treatable and being managed with specialist supervision.

The repeated collapses are understandably worrying, especially after Musiala recently returned from a serious leg injury that kept him out for months. However, his statement provides reassurance that he is receiving appropriate medical attention and care.

Riccardo Calafiori gave Arsenal a dream start, scoring after just 23 seconds, before Kai Havertz doubled the advantage in the 28th minute. Martin Ødegaard then made it 3–0 just three minutes into the second half, putting the result beyond doubt.

Despite Manchester City having more possession (58% to 42%), Arsenal were more clinical, finishing with a higher expected-goals figure (2.19 to 0.93). City had 11 shots to Arsenal’s 9, but both teams registered five shots on target.

Paris Saint-Germain have lifted the UEFA Super Cup after beating Aston Villa 2–1 in a dramatic final.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave PSG the lead in the 20th minute, but Aston Villa responded just before half-time through Brian Madjo to make it 1–1 at the break.

PSG regained the advantage in the 61st minute when Désiré Doué found the breakthrough to put the French champions back in front. Villa pushed for another equaliser, but PSG held on to secure the 2–1 victory.
