💠 Sporting BV 2026-27 ECNL Girls Coaching Staff 💠

We're thrilled to add Coach Mario Felix and his P4 college expertise to continue sending double-digit players to college every season, but we're just as excited because it provides our SBV Pre-ECNL girls access to coaching from the same coaches that run our top team platforms!

Coach Colin Bulwich and Coach Steven Davies, long-time SBV ECNL coaches, will be taking the U11 and U12 Pre-ECNL Sporting Blue Valley teams next season.

So they get training designed by coaches that know exactly what it takes to compete at the ECNL level, so they come prepared and ready at the U13 level.

This is the biggest change we've ever made on our girls' side, because we're committed to investing in our girls and their development! 💫

Sporting Blue Valley's newest ECNL Girls Coach: Mario Felix!

Coach Felix will be coaching our U13 and U19 ECNL girls teams for the 2026-27 season, and acting as our College Recruiting Coordinator.

This is the first time in over a decade that Sporting Blue Valley will have three ECNL Girls coaches, and we couldn't be more thrilled about Coach Mario's addition.

Coach Felix is a proven winner at every level of women's soccer. His collegiate resume includes stops at Kansas State, Missouri, UC Santa Barbara, Southern Utah, Westmont College, and Bethel College.

He fueled a 7-win improvement at UCSB in a single season, coached Southern Utah to its highest winning percentage in program history, and helped Westmont reach an NAIA #6 national ranking and the GSAC Tournament final.

But more importantly, he strengthens our path to D1. Mario is a former USYNT Scout, a current iD2 Scout, and holds his USSF National B License. Which means he knows exactly what college coaches look for when recruiting players.

Sporting Blue Valley has sent hundreds of players to the highest levels of women's soccer, and Coach Mario's addition reinforces our commitment to continuing that standard.

With his recruiting background and college coaching experience, our young women will have an even stronger support system as they pursue opportunities at the next level.

He's already helped a handful of Sporting BV players with their college commitments through his company FTA, and now he's bringing that expertise to our club on a personal level, accessible to all of our young women pursuing the college track.

Our MLS Next coaching staff includes Shawn Forcellini, Camilo Benitez, Joca Sena, Rafa Martinez, Gareth Hughes, Ibrahim Kante, Ivan Aguero, and more - hundreds of years of combined coaching experience dedicated to developing your son at the highest level.
