Dodgers domination continued in the NL West in 2026, as Los Angeles won its 13th title in the past 14 years (thank you, Giants). The Dodgers have won 17 of the 32 NL West titles since the big division split happened in 1994. The Colorado Rockies are still waiting on their first.

There have only been three NL Central teams to win a World Series since the division was created in 1994. The St Louis Cardinals twice (2006, 2011), and the Chicago Cubs in 2016.
The Milwaukee Brewers won their 4th straight NL Central title in 2026, their 7th since moving to the division in 1998.
Fun fact, the Houston Astros (who haven't played in the Central since 2012) have won a NL Central title more recently than the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The NL East is the Home of the Brave(s) once again in 2026! Atlanta won their 19th NL East Division title this season, that's 6 more times than they haven't won it in the 32 completed seasons since they moved over from the NL West in 1994.
In this 32 season span, the Braves are tied with (seriously) the Florida Marlins for most World Series titles out of the NL East with two each. The Marlins, despite winning those two titles, have never once finished first in the division throughout the history of its franchise.
On this day in 1957, the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants played their final games before moving west for the 1958 season, kicking off a wave of expansion that saw the league grow from zero to six teams on the West Coast in just 12 years.
Happy birthday, Orioles! On this day in 1953, the AL approved the Browns' move to Baltimore. The 'Orioles' name comes from the city's pro ball clubs and Maryland's state bird.

The Tampa Bay Rays rule the AL East in 2026, giving the division its fourth different champ in the last four years (only 1 hasn't won this decade). It's the 5th division crown for the Rays since 2008.
