Human language is the worst way to transmit thoughts.
Lossy, slow, and substance lost in transmission.
You can never show anyone what you actually think. You compress it into words and hope it survives the trip. That isn't a failure of communication. That is what communication essentially is.
We only built language because there was no way to transmit our internal state directly. It's a workaround for a missing "feature" and workarounds don't outlive the problem.
Punch cards → keyboards → touch → voice.
Every interface removed friction between intention and expression, and each one landed closer to the thought itself. People are already dropping the keyboard entirely and just talking to their agents.
The last step is skipping the interface and encoding entirely and moving towards something akin to telepathy - a way to understand your internal-state and transmit it.
But reading tone and expression is not the same as reading state. That's surface level.
You cannot skip the encode step until you know what is being encoded. So the wall between minds doesn't come down through better interfaces. It comes down through a structural map of human cognition - the architecture underneath, not the signals it leaks.
Nobody has that map yet. We have a century of descriptions of behaviour and almost no schematic of the thing producing it.
Every augmentation in history (simple tools -> machines -> computers -> the internet -> AI) extended what a human could do. All of it made us more capable but the one thing that never changed is that you cannot show anyone your internal state.
You can only describe it, badly, and hope it survives the trip. If that stops being true, the boundary of a person moves.
And once the architecture is legible, it stops being fixed.
That's the version of transhumanism nobody talks about. Not implants. Not uploads. A map good enough that you can finally read your own structure and change it on purpose.
