The @NCSC should have a recommended Bug Bounty policy with payouts of £1-100k for a bug reported to them by an ethical hacker. Then they could email the co, say “here is the bug, Mikey found it, you owe him £5k”.

Journalists draw their own conclusions when Carter-Ruck tries to muzzle the press.
And IF Cambridge agreed to pay them, the person responsible should be fired.
