Last Friday at Latitude59, our CEO Ahti Heinla and VP of People Heidy Kerma took the stage to talk about what it really takes to build the right team 🎤

Heidy joined Starship without a traditional HR background, but Ahti hired her anyway, because he saw she cared and wanted to get things done. 11 years later, she's our VP of People and has built a team that's mission-driven and keeps on delivering. 10 million times we should say.

That's still how we hire.

What helped us hit 10 million deliveries (and millions more than all our competitors combined), is these same three things:

- resourcefulness is a must, not a bonus
- culture isn't a vibe, but it's a foundation that needs to be protected
- the wrong hire costs more than an empty seat

As Ahti said it: "If you have the right people around you, you can do anything."
