The TEJAS Rayagada Edition hosted an illuminating Startup India Session led by Ms. Seema Charan, Associate, Startup India, DPIIT, who unpacked the foundational pillars of India’s startup ecosystem. As part of its continued efforts to promote inclusive entrepreneurship and strengthen grassroots innovation, Startup India, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, in collaboration with Startup Odisha and the District Administration, and Atal Community Innovation Center (AICC), Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University (GIETU), successfully conducted a workshop under the TEJAS (Transforming Entrepreneurial Journeys Across State & Districts) initiative.

The session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of Startup India initiatives, DPIIT recognition, and transformative benefits like incubation and funding, inspiring students and aspiring entrepreneurs from Rayagada to confidently take their first steps toward building scalable, innovative ventures.

The TEJAS Programme - Rayagada Edition was officially inaugurated with distinguished grandeur in the esteemed presence of Shri Dudhal Abhishek Dilip, IAS, Sub-Collector, Gunupur; Shri Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, IAS, CEO, Startup Odisha; Prof. Goutam Ghosh, Vice Chancellor, GIET University; Prof. (Dr.) Chandra Dhwaj Panda, Vice President, GIET University; Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu, Senior Regional Manager & Head (Outreach Office), NRDC, Govt. of India; Dr. Soobhankar Pati, CEO, IIT-REP; Dr. Sachikanta Kar, Advisor, World Skill Center; Shri Biswashis Gantayet, Business Head, HCLTech; Shri Ravindra Yadav, CEO, ACIC GIETU; and Shri Durga Prasad Gouda, CEO, AIC-NIT Foundation.

The momentum continued with a power-packed Technical Session on "The Journey from Idea to Enterprise," featuring Shri Amit Ranjan Das (Zonal Head, PhonePe) and Shri Chandan Kumar Swain (State Head, PhonePe). They guided aspiring entrepreneurs through the entire startup lifecycle, from identifying market needs and validating ideas to building viable business models and scaling sustainably.
