The United States is sanctioning 7 individuals and entities supporting Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps weapons procurement and for enabling Iran’s destabilizing actions. Despite our good faith effort to implement the Memorandum Of Understanding, the Iranian regime continues to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, including through attacking commercial vessels.

The Iranian regime has chosen to pursue destabilizing violence instead of dialogue. In response, The U.S. is imposing sanctions on more than 50 individuals, entities, and vessels that enable illicit shipping and sanctions evasion network, which is a major force behind Iran’s oil exports.

The Trump Administration is correcting the gaps in our nation's counterterrorism strategy that have been ignored by previous administrations.

We are working with our allies and partners to address terrorist activity across the globe, to protect our citizens, and to dismantle transnational far-left terrorist networks.

Since our founding, America has never subjected itself to foreign bureaucrats who want to overturn the Constitution and our courts. We're taking action to make sure that the ICC does not violate our nation's sovereignty.

Since our Declaration of Independence, we have always objected to foreign bureaucrats "transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offenses."

The Trump administration and @SecRubio are taking steps to isolate the ICC and defend U.S. sovereignty.
