@NoahPasternak The puppeteer is angry at Larry David for throttling Elmo. Larry David thinks Elmo sucks. It’s not a big funny bit they’re all in on, and the shill Today Show hosts certainly don’t think it’s funny. Improv is the least interesting thing going on here.
Jaxson Dart just nailed it. Watch this. Guy’s going to have the number one selling jersey in America by the end of the month. Fun fact: New York was closer to being a red state in 2024 than Florida or Texas were to being blue.
People don’t question the influence that reading a book has on a person. It’s as time-wasting an activity as smoking weed. Just like weed, you can’t quantify the joy or wisdom it gives you internally. Why do people not care about what a book is doing to a person’s mind but are so hypersensitive about the influences of weed and alcohol? Everyone thinks books are great. Why?
She woke up at 5:45 in the morning, set up outside with her giant copy of It by Stephen King, and committed to reading all 1,153 pages in a single sitting.
She tracked her progress hour by hour, pushed through the sun and wind, took one quick lunch break, and finally closed the book at 7 PM — 13 hours later — with the biggest smile.
I actually read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in one sitting, and I felt really proud of myself afterward.... and that book is 734 pages. I can’t even imagine powering through all 1,153 pages of It in a single day like she did.
There’s something really rewarding about deciding to do something difficult and actually seeing it all the way through.
Have you ever finished a book in a single sitting? If so, what book was it?
@EdKrassen The home of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, the Bob Jones of the Midwest, is of course called “Watertown”. A town run by people that are water (Baptists). Just keep walking until you’re outside of Watertown and then never come back
It’s much worse on the British Open. The British Open needs to happen in the middle not at the end. It feels gimmicky now that they’ve pushed really hard for everyone to call it the Open and that it’s the final one of the year. It shouldn’t be taking on the pressure of that. It’s more fun I. The middle. The PGA is the least prestigious of the four and should be the bonus tournament that happens last for sure.
@HustleBitch_ He made fun of her by saying “thank you for including me in this” after she cut him off a bunch and didn’t need him for whatever she was saying. He gave Aubrey Plaza a hard time for having a stroke so I doubt he’s taking this that seriously.
[200] Bad Pt2
This episode is insightful about bad as an object. Who cares about when people are bad when bad is bad on its own. Bad is the real star. Catch Pt 1 I'm sure that it's bad. #podcast
The shots Wisconsin took were all blindly part of the strategy to score off of rebounds if not score and Denver knew they were shooting every time based off that strategy and blocked 20 or so of their shots besides all the harmless shots that made it through that their goalie deflected where he wanted to. They should have looked for an extra pass more time than they did. They kept shooting right away. They were too predictable yesterday.
Wisconsin deserves that loss. Taking bad shots all game without looking for an extra pass. I get that’s part of their strategy, but they zeroed in on it today, shooting all the time and not setting anything up, not caring if there was a stick already in the way. Hauser was panicky throwing his stick away for that second goal. Morrissey seemed panicky putting up bad shots late. The fear of losing ultimately became greater than the joy of winning. I don’t know who’s fault that is, they deserved to lose though
