I think we are the only animal capable of causing pain that isnโt out of necessity. Capable of manipulating & plotting infliction for the sake of inflicting.
& IF weโre the only animal that is aware of our own existence-perhaps the capacity to knowingly inflict pain is related.
The artistry side is employed from the beginning bc I wrote the melody/lyrics. Then I get to engage my technical side in capturing the vocals exactly how I hear them in my head. Then I get another layer of artistry added in by being able to make production choices.
