@tomorrowstouris Cheaper and frankly more reliable to buy both retail at any major international airport - certainly the ones that have Air New Zealand lounges. My last travel experience felt like they’d given up on service.
Have to agree, experience with Air New Zealand's lounges and service has made me seriously question the value of paying for Koru membership - overcrowded lounges, closed ones, getting bumped into a tight seat out of the seat I booked with extra legroom

@pbacsich@chrishipkins The problem with an OPM in NZ is that the government agencies are strangling higher education - difficult to realize the scale benefits of an OPM when regulatory handcuffs mean you can’t make a viable business case.
@pbacsich@chrishipkins Also I’d like payroll tax on employers with a linked rebate if they invested in staff gaining qualifications while employed - employers currently enjoy an invisible subsidy courtesy of families & the taxpayer. NZ growing its skill base rather than being a low wage economy forever
@pbacsich@chrishipkins A good start would be either linking funding to the actual rate of inflation and agencies being required to fund directly the costs new mandates such as the Code of Pastoral Care, or remove the fee maxima controls and let institutions set fees that actually match costs.
TEC: "We have been underfunding you for years, so you need to cut programmes and staff to not be in debt."
Also TEC: "Your student numbers are tanking because you've cut programmes and staff so no one wants to study at your Uni. We are going to fund you less."
🤔
@AKL_Airport This was pure bad management, you must have known the flights were arriving at similar times hours before they arrived, there are many ways this could have been handled better.

Jonathan Boston clearly outlines the Governments culpability and deliberate damage being done to the tertiary sector. Wonder when @ChrisHipkins will be "in it" for the tertiary education system? Or does he just have it in for universities? @nzteu

The $128 million promised by @jantinetti under @chrishipkins leadership is an illusion and a cynical diversion meant to hide from the responsibility the Labour Government has for the deliberate destruction of NZ Universities #SaveOurUniversities@nzteu
