I had The Camp of The Saints in my Amazon cart well before the Internet-wide embargo earlier this year, April I believe.

I posted screen shots showing how other online retailers had followed in lock-step by delisting the book or listing it as unavailable (or $200+ of you wanted a 1973 edition)

After Amazon relented and I was able to purchase Vauban's publication, I found out that Vauban Books is based in North Carolina.

Even their namesake is that of a French engineer who developed star-shaped bastions to provide greater defensive fortifications by eliminating blind spots in French fortresses.

Everything about this publisher is deliberate in defending access to our heritage, the important narrative works of specifically French history. This model should be emulated for every country's historical works.

I try not to glaze people, but I believe Vauban Books is worthy of such praise. Thank you.

I am reading Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell. The first chapter reads like it's written by a modern young antifa-adjacent revolutionist who is already seeing the divisions grow between the communists and the anarchists.
The buildings all adorned with red and black flags to mark the early success of the socialists. No use of sir, only comrade.

And then comes the 300 yard bread lines. And the lack of food unless you're in the militia in which case there is so much bread it rots in the corner.
The lack of verticle command structure and discipline in the men (boys.) Men who break rank as soon as officers turn around. Officers who rebuke men FOR calling them sir, they're equals now.

I feel like a person in a movie theater yelling at the screen to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!

It should be noted that Homage to Catalonia was the REAL account of George Orwell written BEFORE such hits as Animal Farm and 1984.
