Exciting announcement! 💻🎉🎒
In #Ukraine@Infosys supported Street Child to set up 7 Digital Learning Centers so children - many internally displaced - can learn digital skills & access online content in a safe space, where teachers also offer mental health support.
This is part of our Teaching at the Right Level program (TaRL), which builds foundational skills. Students are assessed regularly & moved into new groups as they progress, so each student gets the quality education they need & deserve 🎒🌟
Building confidence is vital for children who've been out of school for a long time 📚
In #Nepal we group children by learning level intead of age so they learn at the right pace for them. This swiftly increases their learning, which boosts confidence & interest in education.
The children were also given school supplies, so their parents can use the money they were saving to grow their businesses and improve their family’s quality of life. And John can focus on his dream of becoming a soccer star! Support this work at https://t.co/aCWdKMGn7Z
Meet John* from Central African Republic, where conflict and a dire humanitarian situation have forced almost 1M people to flee the country and lose their livelihoods. John’s family moved to #Cameroon in the hope of starting again, but found it hard to restart their businesses.
As a result, John and his siblings had to leave school to help their parents sell goods on the streets. But thanks to Street Child’s partnership with the Saika Elisabeth Foundation, John's parents were given financial aid enabling them to re-enrol John and his sister in school.
Gooooooaaaaaaaa!⚽
A huge thanks to everyone who showed up to raise funds for Street Child at our annual soccer tournament. Special thanks to our co-host & long-standing partner @libertyglobal for ongoing support & @AccentureUK for their sponsorship & participation in the event
