My father, my hero, has passed away. He was my first teacher and the reason I ever picked up a microphone. My hiatus was due in part to my need to take care of him in his final years, and he will live on through my work.
Thank you for understanding and for all the kind words.
@ForgiatoBlow47 this shit is legitimately terrible in every sense of the word. Musically, lyrically, thematically and spiritually. This is almost as offensive as blackface. I almost envy the hearing-impaired, but after this, I may be joining them. Stop terrorizing the environment, sincerely.
Last year, I missed my dad’s call on my birthday, so he left me a voicemail. It’s the last recording I have of him and today, more than ever, I’m grateful that I kept it.
Gone, but not forgotten.
My first teacher. My hero. My greatest supporter.
Your fight is over, but your lessons and love live on through me.
Thank you for everything, Dad.
Watch what I do with it.

@libsoftiktok mans think he’s Commissioner Gordon flashing the Black Signal…
With a name like Hawk Newsome, you know this nigga is the real villain, waiting to suit up in a bird costume
@MokisHome@jakepaul I think Mike is also trying to remain composed. He can probably open that gate for a limited time if he wants. Dangerous for both of them
@Imanthonywebb I think you said it very well, actually— I’m tired of the constant identity politics and finger pointing. Granted, that town up there has experienced a lot of racial turmoil in the past but we have to be the change. “The Black community” should just be the American people.
