In our “Honoring Individuality” unit, students create collagraph portraits, inspired by the artwork of American Artists with Disabilities. Written for the @NYCSchools program “Hidden Voices”, this unit features artists from #CreativeGrowth, @LANDgallery, and @ArtCentersECF.
At PS 96Q, 5th grade students eagerly designed their own textiles and learned figure drawing as part of a fashion-focused unit on careers in the arts. Led by the talented Studio Artist Instructor Sophie Steck.

It’s the perfect reminder to share a little kindness, whether it’s with someone you know or a complete stranger. This love filled artwork was painted in 1988 by then 4th grader Melissa T. from PS 21 in Brooklyn.
