My father-in-law is very ill in Jamaica. He's been at a hospital there for about 10 days. He is eligible for repatriation via air ambulance. However, the travel insurance company, Staysure, have been stalling and passing us from one customer service agent and complaints team to another.

He called me yesterday and asked, "What can you do to help me? I want to go back home. I am dying. I am half-dead", and then burst into tears.

We've involved two MPs (very grateful to them both for immediately stepping in), and the press. Nevertheless, Staysure continues to mess around. Today, they gave the press a date for his flight back home (they never gave us any dates but apparently are happy to give a journalist a date), and within hours cancelled on us. They are clearly stalling, hoping that he dies and they get to save some money. Never use Staysure. When my family and I are done with this, I will make it the purpose of my life to make sure you're held accountable for toying with people's lives!!!
