Heavy fighting between rival communities in South Sudan's Lakes State has spread to the state capital, Rumbek, leaving an unconfirmed number of people dead.
The outbreak of violence has prompted the state's caretaker governor, recently appointed by President Salva Kiir, to leave Juba for Rumbek as hostilities between the communities escalate.
In this video, a large number of armed youths can be seen moving through Rumbek town, with heavy gunfire audible in the background.
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) on Friday captured Mazroub, the administrative capital of West Bara Locality in North Kordofan, continuing an offensive that has pushed the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) out of much of the northern and northwestern parts of the state.
