Esper is briefing right now and appears to be about to clean up what he told NBC. Now acknowledges he knew he was going to the church. Two senior admin officials tell me it was audible in front of roughly 15 ppl that Esper said he was walking w Trump to church.
This is an incredible story. Whistleblower cop made recordings of superiors, colleagues framing innocent people. DA was made aware, but continued peosecuting cases. Only person punished was the whistleblower.
A Denver police officer has been fired for writing "Let's start a riot" as a caption to a photo he posted on social media showing himself and two other officers in riot gear. https://t.co/po6NVeYneS
On Brian Kilmeade's radio show, Trump is disputing that he went down to the bunker for his own safety. He claims the Secret Service said it would be a good time to go down and just take a look at the bunker, because "maybe sometime you're going to need it."
The DHS officer at the White House also tells me and @RyanLizza that he considers the gas police are using here against demonstrators “tear gas,” and that it’s “about five times stronger” than pepper spray.
There is a medical team here responding to one demonstrator who was hit with tear gas. A DHS officer tells me and @RyanLizza that the demonstrator has asthma so he’s responding especially poorly to the chemicals.
The State Patrol corralled us into a dead end. They pushed @MikeShumFilms over a wall as he was trying to flee. With blood running down my face, I was injured and blinded, but ignored by officers as I asked for help. Photojournalist Peter Van Agtmael found me and came to my aid.
This weekend, journalists in a group covering the protests in Minneapolis were hit with pepper spray, concussion grenades, batons, and tear gas by Minnesota State Patrol. We had our cameras out, press badges on and were clearly identifiable as media. I ended up with 4 stitches.
This appears to be grossly unjustified use of a chemical weapon on protesters and raises serious human rights concerns under international law.
Elected officials, including Congress, must investigate this politically-motivated, life-threatening use of indiscriminate weapons.
I wrote out some thoughts on how to make this moment a real turning point to bring about real change––and pulled together some resources to help young activists sustain the momentum by channeling their energy into concrete action. https://t.co/jEczrOeFdv

I have news for "public health experts" -- #Covid19 concerns among young Americans disappeared the minute #GeorgeFloyd was killed. Resurrecting social distancing will be next-to-impossible for many segments of US society as long as the core racial injustice issues go unaddressed.
@Blofeld97750428@complex_Orin@rtenews That’s not a group of protesters. There’s plenty of footage of police victimizing people the last few days including reporters. Police are the ones that killed George Floyd.
@rtenews We don’t have a domestic terrorism classification here in the US, only foreign. He was just trash talking. If we’re going to get one the first ones that should be named are white supremacists.
