@cliffpix@vintagebaseball@CityLouisvlleCo Hi Cliff! I'm so glad you were at the vintage base ball game yesterday! The Louisville Miners are not associated with CVBBA though, but a group of community members in Louisville who played this one game as a special event sponsored by the Louisville Historical Museum.
@LSweeneyMiran Ironic considering her platform is to “listen.” That’s exactly what the board did. To the DAC, which unanimously voted to support this, along with CAPL and POCC. To undo this is definitely not listening to the voice of the majority. https://t.co/P48sTI89Ia
@GoBlue_Kris @LSweeneyMiran @BVSDcolorado@meffland@kimwalstib Broomfield schools were represented in the parent committee that voted unanimously to recommend removal of SROs. I know it seems like police make schools safer, but there’s actually no evidence of this after years of study.
@abbeywinter1 I agree. We did this work. The candidate says she will listen to her community and to diverse voices, but this was unanimously recommended by the parent group DAC, and highly supported by the Latino Parents Advisory Committee.
@abbeywinter1 Hey Abbey, I agree with your premise but just want to let you know that for BVSD in particular, SROs were paid for by the city, so there is no money saved for the district. (Their contract was also managed by the police department, not the district which was part of the problem)
@K41734833 I feel like nice is more passive. Kind really speaks to empathy where is nice is like some thing you could say when you mean in fact the exact opposite.
@JohnAngelis I’m obviously not a teacher, but I found in meetings that I get really anxious, even with cameras on in a way that I don’t typically experience social anxiety. I think I rely so much on subtle visual communication cues to let me know I’m on the right track.
Slithering into another #MusicMonday. 🐍 🎶
Before the tuba, there was the serpent!
This European brasswind instrument, typically finished in black, has a long association with church music. This example sports a rare zoomorphic embellishment fitting to its serpentine namesake.
