There it is. The last ever @SundayTVNZ
This show has always been about New Zealanders’ stories, and I’m proud we could go out with one like this. It takes bravery to face this kind of heartbreak, and even more to forgive.

Have you ever noticed someone at the pharmacy drinking from a small cup or little brown bottle?
More than 5,000 Kiwis take methadone every day for opioid use disorder.

My @NewsroomNZ column asks who will now investigate the case of Billy Guyton …and all the rest of the stories? The loss of @SundayTVNZ is immeasurable and our nation will be poorer for it https://t.co/lcFcmQBLGp
There isn't really much more to say other than how gutted I am and also grateful to have spent a few years working with a bunch of very talented peeps.
Thank you to everyone who watched, called, wrote and supported us - and especially all those brave New Zealanders who shared their stories with @SundayTVNZ
It's been the privilege of a lifetime to be a part of this team. ❤️
This is a remarkable and tragic story.
@MarkCrysell and the @SundayTVNZ team have been covering CTE in rugby players for years. You get the sense we will look back at this issue in years to come and question why more wasn't done sooner.

How many stories about CTE are going to appear on @SundayTVNZ and other shows? Because it doesn't see like the sporting bodies actually care all that much that people, mostly men, are dying from traumatic brain injuries due to playing contact sports.
