Too often music is forgotten about under the broad heading of "culture" or "the arts" as vast parts of it have to beg drinks brands to facilitate event activity, and so on. This is unhealthy in various ways. If Govt wants to support events + venues, it must dig much deeper.
Of course it should. Visibility of flagship events like EP is important. RTร is the public service broadcaster, and should budget accordingly. Is part of a wider conversation on developing a music strategy that values careers in music, supports event + venue sustainability, etc.
This Sunday night at @YamamoriDublin Tengu - Seventh State takes hold, with Florbit (live), Maeve O'Neill and myself. 9pm to kind of late! Advance tickets here: https://t.co/LHlD0FN6oC
