Even Day- We won't sing full Vande Mataram as it has praise of Hindu Goddess. It's "Haram".
Odd Day- Why are we not allowed in Navratri Celebrations? It's not Religious but Cultural festival. We're Secular.
Smash the Hypocrisy.
GARBA IN NAVRATRI IS PURELY RELIGIOUS FESTIVAL.
Difference.
There are clubs, organizing garba parties ,having tickets. So obviously anyone can go there.
We can't claim that it's our festival.
On the other hand , relatives and neighbours, organise garba with their contribution..only they can claim that it's our festival..
Do you even know what Garba is?
When innocent lives are lost over the slightest colours during Holi, when saying Vande Mataram is somehow considered enough to “corrupt” one’s religion… why does Garba performed to the bhajans of Maa Durga suddenly become such a huge controversy?
Why is there so much outrage?
Garba is not merely a dance. Bhakti is at its very heart. It is an expression of devotion, faith and celebration in honour of Maa.
And if you still have such a strong urge to dance without the devotional aspect, then take your dandiya and celebrate it in your own homes.
But please let those whose Garba is an expression of shraddha and bhakti celebrate peacefully, without turning their faith into another controversy.
Enough of these nonsense.
