New SP404 live set is up today. I tried something a little different and leaned into ambient textures and live guitar to build a full performance.

I tried a lot of gear in 2025... some completely changed my workflow, while others barely lasted a week. In this video, I’m breaking down every piece of gear I picked up this year: what stuck, what surprised me, and what totally flopped.

New album, Today’s Traces, out now!
Today’s Traces is a meditation on memory, impermanence, and emotional residue. An ambient journey shaped in the quiet spaces between life’s bigger moments.

These companies gotta start having a variety of examples for these samplers.
They just be trying to market to EDM artist only and wind up having their sampler on clearance a year or two later.
A lot of times ppl be assuming u can’t make hip hop on your samplers
In my continuing quest to find the best DAWless combinations, I recently tested out a stripped down beatmaking setup: just the SP404 MK2 and SEQTRAK, here's what happened:

The guitar samples in this beat are from my new Jazzy Jams sample pack. If you’re looking to add some laid back guitar to your beats, check it out here:

I spent the last three years building my DAWless setup into a powerful but complex rig.
Now, as a busy parent, I’ve decided to simplify, paring it down to just a few key pieces of gear.
Here’s what I kept, and why.

I sent this EP to analogue mastering engineer Christoph Stickel in Austria, part of his chain is his Studer A820 reel-to-reel…maaan what that machine did to my mixes…the smoothest sexiest tape saturation I’ve heard…
The SEQTRAK can’t sample flip… but I did it anyway, with a little help from Koala Sampler.
Here’s my workaround for the lack of sample chopping while still using its powerful sequencer:
