At 10,500 feet, the Surya Spiti Challenge 2026 concluded successfully amid the stark, breathtaking beauty of Spiti Valley.

With record participation, runners took on the demanding 42 KM, 21 KM and 10 KM courses, battling thin air, steep climbs, rugged trails and unforgiving mountain conditions.

Every kilometre demanded strength. Every ascent tested resolve. Every finish line reflected courage, perseverance and an unbreakable will to overcome.

From the first stride to the final finish, the runners demonstrated that limits are meant to be challenged and heights are meant to be conquered.

A salute to every participant who transformed an extreme high-altitude challenge into a celebration of human endurance, determination and the never say die spirit.

Chhonzin Angmo scripted history by becoming the first visually impaired Indian woman to successfully complete the gruelling 77 KM Spiti Marathon at #Kaza , #HimachalPradesh .

Through the unforgiving high-altitude terrain of #SpitiValley , she turned every challenge into a stepping stone and every stride into a statement of courage, resilience and human potential.

She may not see the road ahead, but she has shown the world how far determination can take you. A historic achievement for #Kinnaur and India, inspiring us all to dream beyond limits, defy every barrier and keep moving forward.

The initiative will leverage #ArtificialIntelligence, real-time analytics and data-driven insights to enhance firing precision, adaptability and training efficiency. By integrating emerging technologies with proven training methodologies, the initiative aims to make weapon training smarter, more responsive and outcome-oriented.

Cadets of #NationalCadetCorps Group #Jabalpur visited the #Grenadiers Regimental Centre, gaining an immersive insight into the training, discipline and ethos that forge the soldiers of the #IndianArmy.

The cadets experienced tactical simulations, physical endurance arenas, weapon simulators and leadership & team-building modules, while also discovering the proud history, traditions and valour of the Grenadiers Regiment.
The interaction offered the young cadets a glimpse into the life of a soldier, reinforcing the timeless values of courage, camaraderie, discipline and selfless service.

The visit further strengthened the enduring bond between the #IndianArmy and the youth, motivating young minds to live by the NCC spirit of #UnityAndDiscipline and contribute meaningfully towards #NationBuilding.

The Grand Finale of the 2026 Edition of #SuryaSpitiChallenge concluded on a spectacular high amid the breathtaking landscapes of #SpitiValley, bringing together a record number of runners to test their endurance at an altitude of over 10,500 feet.

From the gruelling 42 km Full Marathon and challenging 21 km Half Marathon to the spirited 10K Dash, participants battled steep gradients, rugged mountain terrain and sub-zero winds, turning every kilometre into a testament of courage, resilience and determination.

More than a race, the #SuryaSpitiChallenge2026 celebrated the indomitable human spirit and the will to push beyond limits. Every stride conquered a challenge. Every finish told a story of grit and determination.

Celebrating the remarkable journey of #AWWA at 60, a spirited 3.2 Km Walkathon was organised by AMC Centre & College, #Lucknow, bringing together families of the station in an inspiring display of fitness, enthusiasm and camaraderie.

The #Walkathon was flagged off by Mrs Ruchira Sengupta, Regional President AWWA, #SuryaCommand. Participants turned out in large numbers and walked together with energy and enthusiasm, making the event a vibrant celebration of community spirit and collective well-being. More than a fitness initiative, the Walkathon reflected the enduring bonds that connect the Army fraternity and highlighted AWWA's six-decade journey of care, support and empowerment of Army families.

As AWWA celebrates 60 years of meaningful service, the occasion reinforced its enduring ethos of standing together, nurturing strong communities and fostering a spirit of mutual support across generations.

As part of the #SuryaSpitiChallenge2026, the Kaza Commando Run witnessed runners take on a gruelling 77-km ultra run across the formidable high-altitude terrain of Spiti.

Thin air, unforgiving trails and extreme endurance tested every participant. With grit, resilience and an indomitable spirit, the runners pushed beyond their limits to conquer the challenge from start to finish.

More than a test of physical endurance, the run embodied the determination, mental fortitude and will to prevail that define a soldier.

The spirit of #RakshaBandhan resonated across #SuryaCommand, transcending the traditional bond of protection to become a celebration of Rashtra Bandhan the enduring connects between soldiers and the citizens they serve.

At the #RajputRegimentalCentre, Army personnel joined school students, women #NCC cadets, women Police personnel, doctors and members of Brahma Kumaris in a unique celebration of civil-military fusion.

At #SikhLightInfantry Regimental Centre, students from schools across Farrukhabad and members of Brahma Kumaris tied Rakhis to soldiers, conveying the affection, gratitude and blessings of a grateful Nation.

At #Jabalpur, the #JAKRIF Regimental Centre brought together soldiers, families, school children and members of the community through cultural programmes and Raksha Bandhan celebrations, strengthening bonds of mutual respect and belonging.

Across formations and Regimental Centres, every sacred thread carried a common message the Nation stands with its soldiers, just as its soldiers stand steadfast in its defence.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆!

From the sacred heights of the Kumaon Hills, #HUMVEER — Run for the Himalayas — was flagged off today by Commander, Panchshul Brigade.

Over the next 10 days and 500 KM, Indian Armed Forces veterans and ultra runners will take on the rugged Himalayan terrain, turning every kilometre into a message of endurance, resilience and responsibility.

This is more than a run. It is a movement for a cleaner, greener Himalayas.

𝟭𝟯 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 • 𝟰 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 • 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

The National Integration Tour, organised by #PanchshulGunners under #OpSadbhavana, culminated at Lucknow, bringing young students from the remote border areas of Kumaon on a journey of discovery, national pride and integration.

Traversing Bareilly, New Delhi, Dehradun and Lucknow, the tour provided the students an opportunity to experience India’s rich military, cultural and historical heritage. Visits to the Red Fort, National War Memorial and Lok Bhavan, along with meaningful interactions at each destination, broadened their horizons and strengthened their connect with the Nation.

A defining highlight was their interaction with the Hon’ble President of India and the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand. At HQ #CentralCommand, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C #SuryaCommand, interacted with the students, encouraged them to dream big and contribute towards the vision of #ViksitBharat2047.

From the frontier villages of Kumaon to the heart of Bharat, the journey exemplified the #IndianArmy’s commitment to empowering young minds, strengthening national integration and fostering an enduring connect with our border communities.
