Screening and early diagnosis is key in controlling breast cancer.@MOH_Kenya is continuously raising awareness on breast cancer and has made tremendous efforts in cancer prevention and control.

The launch of the Herceptin SC Access Program under the @MOH_Kenya @nhifkenya and #Roche MOU is another first in cancer care access. Patients diagnosed with breast cancer will have access to this innovative treatment as long as they have @nhifkenya cover.

Today's launch of the @kutrrh Breast Care Centre of Excellence is a great stride in the implementation of the breast cancer action plan 2021-2025.The one stop centre will enable timely diagnosis and linkage to care for breast cancer patients all under one roof.

The Health Sector Drought Response efforts have been boosted with a donation of Interagency Emergency Health Kits by @WHOKenya.The kits will be distributed to nine most affected counties to help address health issues associated with the drought.

I have today met the US Congressional staff & @CDCKenya to discuss US-Kenya partnership in strengthening Kenya's health security. We explored further partnership in upcoming Strategic National Public Health Institutes and local manufacturing of Health Products and Technologies.

Significant progress has been made on the roadmap to establishment of mRNA vaccine manufacturing facility in Kenya by @moderna_tx .This will see production of over 500 million doses of vaccines annually thus enhancing access to vaccines for Kenya and Africa.

Non Communicable Diseases is a major concern in developing countries thus slowing down development. This meeting on the sidelines of #UNGA77 explored strategies to tackle NCDs including innovative partnerships & Investing in adequate, predictable & sustained domestic financing
