NOW: #UNSC adopts resolution welcoming #Gaza three phase ceasefire proposal announced on May 31st by @POTUS. The US drafted resolution categorically states that #Israel has accepted the proposal and calls upon #Hamas to also accept it. It urges both parties to fully implement its terms without delay and without condition. Resolution also underlines that the proposal says if the negotiations take longer than six weeks for phase one then the ceasefire will still continue as long as negotiations continue. All council members voted in favor bar @RussiaUN who abstained.

NOW: #UNGA adopts resolution enhancing #Palestine's rights and privileges at the United Nations with strong support. Resolution received 143 votes in favor, 9 against, 25 abstentions. @Palestine_UN retains observer state status but will receive almost all rights of a full member state except the right to vote in the GA and to be a candidate for #UN organs such as the #UNSC and #ECOSOC. Resolution determines that Palestine is qualified for membership in the United Nations and recommends that the Security Council reconsider the matter favorably.
