Tomorrow is #NFTCleanupDay and we are fortunate enough to be partnered up with Pro2tect and all the #GreenChipNFT Projects shown to make a positive change/impact for the planet! We have some of the Sussy Shark Fam coming out and we look forward to seeing our mission come to life!
The waste landfills are bulked up with consumer product packaging. When it's not possible to avoid packaging, reuse containers, polystyrene (styrofoam) fillers, and bubble wrap. Always work on reducing, reusing, and recycling. #GreenTipThursday#STWT#GreenChipNFTs#SaveTheOcean
Plastic bags take hundreds of years to decompose. Hundreds of thousands of marine mammals die every year after mistaking plastic bags, which are laced with chemicals, for food. Reuse them and recycle them! #GreenTipThursday#SaveTheOcea#GreenChipNFTs
Created by Andrew Turton and Pete Ceglinski, the Seabin is an automated rubbish bin which catches floating rubbish, oil, fuel and detergents. It is designed for use in marinas, yacht clubs and harbors. #GreenTechTuesday#SaveTheOcean#GreenChipNFTs
Designed by Richard Hardiman, Waste Shark is a small robotic device that 'swims' close to the shore catching rubbish before it can make its way out to sea.
Designed by Boyan Slat, the Ocean Cleanup Array is a network of floating barriers which use the oceanβs currents to collect huge amounts of plastic which can then be easily extracted and recycled.
Most of the commonly found litter in our oceans comes from everyday items that we throw away without much thought. Cigarette butts, fishing gear, food and beverages containers, paper bags, and single-use plastic products like carrier bags, bottles, and disposable utensils.
If not disposed of properly, man-made waste like plastic bottles, aluminum cans, clothing items, and packaging materials can reach the sea and be washed back ashore where it pollutes beaches, poses health risks to the locals and, in some cases, affects their tourism industry.
We have announced the multiplayer game "Swim Together" and of course "Shark City" is still in construction. Don't forget though, we have "Sussy Sharks: Oceansaver" on the website for holders to enjoy right now! #STWT
Thereβs an island of marine litter in the Pacific Ocean called the North Pacific Gyre, or the Great Pacific Garbage Patch β itβs the largest oceanic rubbish site in the entire world. To put that into perspective, it is twice the size of Texas. #TheMoreYouKnow
The Sussy Baby Sharks will be reopened for minting to get more sharks to join the community and to help fund ocean cleanup efforts across the world with the help of cleanup organizations, other #greenchipnfts, and our community!
Happy Sussy Shark Sunday! Did y'all know we are working on a online multiplayer game? The name of the game is "Swim Together". You'll be able to explore the waters with your shark friends, go on quest, and more! Here is a screenshot showing six builds open and everyone connected!
Swim Together is still in Pre-Alpha but expected to drop an Alpha build before end of year! You'll be able to play if you are a Sussy Shark holder and/or a Sussy Baby Shark holder.
