Last 22- 23 of January, our first Grand Assembly took place in Türkiye at TÜBİTAK MAM.
Alongside technical discussions about sustainable production of biofuels from microalgae, participants visited TÜBİTAK premises for biocrude upgrading and BOUN for microalgae cultivation.

In a significant stride towards advancing sustainable and secure energy solutions, SUSTEPS members and our Project-Officer (EU representative) convened for an online kickoff meeting on October 17, 2023, led by TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye)

SUSTEPS integrates CO2 capture from high-emission sources and nutrient-rich wastewater for microalgae growth, reducing biomass production costs and mitigating harmful CO2 emissions. SUSTEPS adheres to sustainability principles and the transition to a circular economy.
