Before streaming, I used to be self employed. My Tourettes was so severe I was unemployable. I needed a job which could fit around caring for my mum. So I got up before sunrise, walked to the beach, collected seaglass all day. carried between 3 and 15 kilos of it home with me (1)

I have Tourette's and the N word tic. I Literally shouted "NUGGET" at a black person the other day and was so relieved.
No its NOT only bad words. That's a stereotype caused by a cultural memory bias. I'll tic the words "I love you" a thousand times in a day but people will only remember the time I offered to "fist their dad"
People take transport for granted.
I’ve spent my whole life with transport insecurity because of Tourette’s. I can’t drive, and I’ve been removed from buses, trains, and flights because of my tics.
When disabled people travel, we risk humiliation and being stranded. I’ve lost thousands when airlines deny boarding and refuse refunds, it feels like theft.
Airports need actual Tourette’s protocols. This is ruining lives.
"They escorted us off with three armed officers."
13-year-old Mason was barred from a plane because he kept talking about bombs.
But Mason has Tourette's Syndrome. His dad tells @ShelaghFogarty what happened.
I'm going to be attending TwitchCon EU in Rotterdam this year!!! If you want to come and say hello I'll be having a meet and greet on Saturday, May 30th. Make sure you book your slot on the app since these spots can suddenly run out!
I made another video and I could really use your support for this one. This has been an awful week for people with Tourette's and it's going to take all of us chipping in to undo the damage. Not a lot of people have really fully explained the problem with the latest SNL skit, and how it translates to real harm for those with Tourette's. I'm trying my best to soften the blow and push back on this before another generation end up having the horrific childhood I had. https://t.co/yPmOPIvCTn
I will say that people were accusing me of "being cartman" my whole career and that episode did actually drive a lot of hate and suspicion my way. People do genuinely believe that people with tourettes are just pretending to get away with being awful and south park only added to that.
People with tourette's are twice as likely to be violently assaulted than the general public.
women with TS are 4 times more likely to be targeted by sexual violence. 1 in 4 of us try to kill ourselves. over half self harm.
The stereotype that we are secretly evil people who use Tourette's to get away with being an asshole is literally life threatening to us. So fuck SNL.
I'm tired of spending my life begging for understanding. I have to rely on public attiutudes just to have basic rights. Just to leave the house, to use a bus, to eat at a restaurant, to go to work, use a public restroom, ANYTHING. People are calling for us to be segregated! I spend 8 years teaching millions of people about this only to still feel like we are at square one.
I made a video giving proper attention to the BAFTAs controversy. It isn't as simple as so many people are making it. Some criticism is valid. Some of it isn't. https://t.co/eshduTRlh5
As someone:
with Tourette’s,
Who’s mixed race,
Who got cancelled by millions of people for an n word tic to the point of mass death threats,
Who has presented multiple awards (including a BAFTA game award),
I have so much to say about this but I can’t record today.
I have been where John is, and people debated for years whether I deserved the right to livestream because I have TS, it’s sucks that this is still happening to people when google is free. People are wilfully misunderstanding Tourette’s at this point. Everyone deserves empathy here. I hope him, Michael and Delroy are doing ok.
@AngryTeddy33 I’m aware. We don’t lose consciousness during a tick. But I tic so often I don’t always notice it any more. Like you may note realize every time you itch your nose in a day. So sometime I don’t notice that I had a tick even though I’m aware of them.
@changey666@MarkHolla The drs didn’t follow up or send me the results. I wrote in 7 years later asking if I could pursue a diagnosis and they replied saying they diagnosed me with Tourette’s years ago!!
@SweetishJeff24 I personally don’t care how people react as long as they don’t get angry with me. Some people laugh, ignore, or jokingly respond and I’m fine with that. But I also don’t represent everyone with ts so it’s best to ask when you meet them what their preferences are.
Some areas of the basal ganglia are smaller for us. We produce more dopamine and have more sensitive dopamine receptors. We have an over active CSTC Circuit, and our frontal lobe behaves differently. Over time we have above average frontal lobe development because we spend our lives having to struggle to control impulses.
