Two athletes who have had an incredible year on the international stage!
Deaf Sports Ireland are issuing a final call for Deaf or Hard of Hearing athletes who would be considered to be of a competitive standard to compete at next year's European Deaf Youth Games.
Athletes should be aged between 14 and 18 years old (born between 2008 and 2012) who have at a minimum bilateral hearing loss of 55 Decibels and already competing at affiliated clubs.
The games will take place between August 17-23, 2026, in Hannover, Germany

Swim Ireland recently launched the groundbreaking Swimming Pool Gap Analysis Report, prepared by FMG Consulting and funded by Sport Ireland through the Dormant Accounts Fund.
The first study of its kind, the report highlights major gaps in Irelandโs swimming facilities - from access and lessons to ageing pools and sustainability.
Its findings show an urgent need for investment so everyone in Ireland can access swimming facilities and learn this life-saving skill.
