Two things to do if you self-custody crypto:

1) Check if the wallet that first gave you your recovery phrase was fully open source and reputable.

2) Check if you used a "25th word," a passphrase you defined as well as the 24 typical words they give you.

If the answer to either/both is "no," move any money you'd freak out it you lost to a new wallet that checks both boxes.
