Stay safe this summer with these key reminders:
wrench Perform daily equipment inspections before starting - heat can affect hydraulics and tire pressure

🌡️Watch for overheating - both you AND your machinery need regular breaks in extreme heat

💧 Stay hydrated and keep extra water in equipment cabs

🧢 Protect yourself from sun exposure, even in enclosed cabs - UV rays can penetrate windows

⚡️ Be extra alert for power lines when moving tall equipment - heat can cause lines to sag

🔍 Check belts and hoses more frequently - summer heat accelerates wear and cracking

Remember: No task is so urgent that it can't be done safely.

Matthew Coulter, Formulation and Application Technology Manager, spoke with Lyndsey Smith, @‌realagriculture Radio Host, about his role and team at Honeywood Research Facility in Plattsville, ON.

The basis of the work that they do is to ensure that farmers have a great experience when applying Syngenta products and that they don’t have any surprises during application.
